Dandelion Root

We came upon this review on Amazon so it got our interest to share it here.
Dandelion uses milky latex to protect its root from insect feeding.
This milky latex has a compound called Taraxinic acid which kills cancer cells.
You know those pesky weeds in your front lawn. Well, people use them for salads. They even sell the leaves in grocery stores.
But yet here in North America, we call them pesky weeds.
They’re edible, even the yellow flowers are edible, all of it is edible, even the roots.
The roots contain the most latex.
We had reports of people curing their cancer by eating the fresh milky latex from dandelion flowers. They will break the stem and drink the milky white substance which the latex.
It’s not poisonous.
There are also other anti-cancer compounds in the roots.
Plucking the roots and drying them and making your own tea is so easy and affordable.
Here’s a good Dandelion Root on Etsy
If you’re going to harvest your own from your backyard or wherever you harvest it from or just buying one like the one on Etsy then make sure to not roast it or make sure to not buy one that is roasted.
Roasting can damage the compounds in the plant.
The product in the link is not roasted.
The first link on amazon is good but won’t last for long and that is why it’s best to just buy unroasted dandelion roots.
To extract the compounds from this loose tea.
It’s best to grind them in a coffee grinder.
Then boil on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
You can make small or large batches.
