Sodium dichloroacetate (DCA)
Normally, healthy cells use oxygen in a part of the cell called the mitochondria to create energy — like a clean, efficient power plant.
But many cancer cells don’t like to use mitochondria. Even if there’s plenty of oxygen, they take a shortcut and use a faster, dirtier way to get energy — called glycolysis. This way lets them grow quickly and avoid dying, even though it’s less efficient. It’s a bit like using fast food all the time instead of cooking healthy meals — it’s quick, but not great long-term.
DCA goes into the cell and turns back on the mitochondria, telling the cell:
“Stop taking shortcuts — use the proper power plant again!”
It does this by blocking a specific enzyme (called PDK) that was turning the mitochondria off. By blocking PDK, it reactivates the normal energy-making process.
Cancer cells are not good at using the mitochondria anymore.
When DCA forces them to go back to that system, it creates stress inside them.
This stress builds up and can trigger the cancer cells to die, especially because it reactivates pathways that tell bad cells when to shut down (a process called apoptosis — or cell suicide).
Meanwhile, normal cells are perfectly happy using their mitochondria again — so they aren’t harmed much by DCA.
It’s targeting the metabolism of cancer cells, not just trying to kill them with poison like traditional chemo.
It’s selective — it doesn’t destroy healthy cells in the same way.
DCA softens the tumor to make it more receptive to chemo.
It seems to work best on cancers that rely heavily on glycolysis.
It has many testimonials for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer.
In short, DCA works by reprogramming how cancer cells make energy, forcing them to act more like normal cells. But because they’re not good at it, they get weak and start to die, while healthy cells are mostly unaffected.
Here is the guide to using DCA:
***IF YOU EVER GET FEVER, FEELING UNWELL AND CAN’T URINATE THEN THIS MEANS YOUR DCA
DOSAGE IS TOO HIGH. TAKE A BREAK AND BRING THE DCA DOSAGE DOWN***

There’s different dosages for DCA. You will have to experiment with the dosages but the minimum dose
is 10 mg per kg body weight of patient.
Max dose is debatable but 20 mg seems to be safe.
However start with 10 mg per kg body weight
So if you weigh 70 kg then you multiply 70 x 10 mg = 700 mg
700 mg is your dosage.
The recommendation is to divide this into two doses per day.
So that would be 350 mg morning and 350 mg night.
However some choose to not divide the dose.
Either way works.
It’s recommended to take the DCA for 2 weeks straight then 1 week off.
There are a couple of people in the DCA facebook group who have beaten their cancer with the 10 mg
per body weight dosage.
Click Here for the DCA facebook support group
Timothy is the name of the one person who cured his Hon-Hodgkins lymphoma with DCA at a dose of 10
mg per kg body weight. He didn’t divide his dose. He took his dose fully in the morning.
He also took his DCA for 5 days straight and 2 days off regimen.
The one other lady who also beat the same cancer took the same dose of 10 mg per kg body weight, She took her DCA 6 days straight
with one day off.
Then there are others who beat their cancer at a dose of 15 mg per kg body weight and it was taken
divided morning and night and 2 weeks straight with 1 week off.
That support group will guide you on what’s best for you.

DCA can cause Neuropathy, to prevent this, here is the Neuropathy prevention protocol:
Benfotiamine(Vitamin B1) 150mg – three times a day (Benfotiamine is a better version of Vitamin B1)
Instead of Benfotiamine you can take regular Vitamin B1 at a dose of 1000 mg a day.
Alpha Lipoid Acid (ALA) 600mg – twice a day. (some people complain of stomach problems with this, if
this upsets your stomach you can neglect it) Don’t take this 2 days before chemo, on the day of chemo
and wait at least 1 week after chemo to resume taking it.
Acetyl L-Carnitine 500mg – 3 times a day
Timothy only took 1000 mg Vitamin B1 to prevent neuropathy.
Don’t take DCA with hot foods or drinks as hot temperature negatively affects the potency of the DCA.
Keep DCA in the fridge.
It seems DCA needs to be taken for life because the testimonial posts from that facebook group shows
once people stop DCA for a while, then cancer comes back. You will find posts like this and once the
patient resumes DCA, the cancer goes away.
DCA also initiates Ferroptosis. Please see the Ferroptosis in the Treatments page.
Ferroptosis is another method of cell death. The other is Apoptosis.
